A common occurence on older hoods is for the tab attached to the zipper to detach, making the zip extremely hard to open and close. This product is a 2nd hand zipper (the metal part only, not the actual zippered teeth part that attaches to the hood, the zip ONLY!).

Some pliers and a little patience and you can save yourself the aggravation of tearing fingernails off trying to zip out the rear window!

Please be warned that this product can ONLY be used on the ORIGINAL Mazda hood. Original Mazda or Eunos hoods have zips with 'MX-5' printed on them.

Some cars have aftermarket hoods fitted and these zips CANNOT be replaced by us due to the wild variation in zips used by the aftermarket industry. If you would like advice on whether the zip is OEM or not please take a few photos of the hood showing the rear window and the inside and email them to us and we will be able to advise you further.
